McQueen Creative is a boutique marketing and communications firm headquartered in Edmonton, AB with teams in Calgary, Saskatoon and Vancouver. Working with clients across North America, we believe in challenging the status quo, pushing the boundaries of creativity, and building extraordinary relationships with our clients. We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2017, and we are looking for a post secondary student who has a focus in public relations, communications, or business/marketing, to fill our summer internship position.

The successful candidate must be creative, outgoing, and an innovative self-starter who likes to have fun and has a desire to learn. Each year we select one major initiative for the internship role to take ownership of, and this year we have chosen working to streamline and coordinate our social media content creation and execution for not only our clients, but for our own platforms as well. We also believe there is an additional opportunity for this role to mentor under our Director, Client Solutions around developing and pitching new business for McQueen.

Working collaboratively with the McQueen Creative team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to own and lead the renewal of our social media program, including the creation and implementation of a social media strategy, and content creation strategy. Under the mentorship and coaching of the Creative Director, this role provides a unique opportunity to gain tangible experience in your field, while being a part of a growing team. While the opportunity to grow and learn is certainly available, it does not come without hard work, your ability to deliver results under pressure and on deadline will be key to your success in this role. This internship is paid through an honorarium and allows for a flexible work schedule to accommodate other work or opportunities if necessary.
